Check times of the shows and plan around this, they really are worth seeing.
The safari drive is really exciting for the whole family. You get really close to all of the animals and depending on the time of day you can get to see them being fed too. Once you have parked there is loads more to see and do, birds of prey, parrot and sea lion shows, plus penguins, wallabies, monkeys and train ride. Another plus for children of all ages is the huge inside play area. My children, aged 2 and 4 love it. We must have been 15-20 times and have enjoyed it every time.

The restaurant was fairly pricey so you could take a picnic as there were areas to accommodate this.
Being as we decided to go to Woburn Safari Park during term time we were glad to find it was pretty quiet and after paying at the entrance and buying an audio guide CD we were on our way. First came Zebras, Rhinos and some Elephants wondering around us and two Hippo's lounging in the lake to our left. We then headed into the second part of the animal reserve which was the home of the carnivorous animals. We went on to drive through two automatic gates, the first closing behind us before the second opened to let us in, we then found ourselves amongst some of the most dangerous animals on the planet such as Lions and Tigers. They came so close to the car that we all felt a little nervous but they really are awesome animals. The next stage took us in amongst the Black Bears, Giraffes and some very cheeky monkeys, two of which leapt onto the roof of our car and began jumping up and down on it. We all found this hilarious and all part of the fun. Lastly we had some fun in the wildlife and leisure park which enabled us to park the car and wonder around on foot. This part was more like a Zoo, in which there were sea lions, penguins, reptiles and more. Also in this section were some fair rides, playgrounds and soft play areas, a place called the Australian walkabout, which was pretty impressive, a restaurant and the obligatory shop. We let the kids have some fun playing for a bit, then enjoyed a nice hot meal in the restaurant. Overall it was a satifying day out and a big thumbs up to Woburn Safari Park.
